With just 14 guests in our 7 bedrooms for each house party you will feel you are always amongst friends! We are able to offer the Lodge on an Exclusive Use basis: ideal for weddings, wedding anniversaries, birthdays, corporate get togethers, or just an excuse to catch up... what a great way to get together and have your very own house party!

Exclusive Use Tariff
This includes your exclusive use of the hotel and use of seven en-suite bedrooms.

One Night Stay
Fresh flowers in all bedrooms and public rooms
Fresh fruit in reception area
Chocolates and Chef's freshly baked biscuits in bedrooms
Complimentary sherry in reception
Champagne, oyster and lobster reception followed by five course dinner along with a selection of fine cheese and biscuits
Coffee, tea and Chef's petits fours served after dinner in the lounges
Full Cumbrian breakfast the following morning

Two night stay
As above for one night stay plus:
Fixed four course dinner with Chef's canapes on remaining night
Full Cumbrian breakfast each morning
In addition each couple would receive a voucher to the value of £30 to be used as a returning guest or given to friends against a minimum three night stay within the following twelve months

Three night stay
As above for one night stay plus:
Fixed four course dinner with Chef's canapes on remaining two nights
Full Cumbrian breakfast each morning
Each partner dines free on third evening representing a total saving of £140.
In addition each couple would receive a voucher to the value of £30 to be used as a returning guest or given to friends against a minimum three night stay within the following twelve months

Here's how recent guests described their "exclusive use" of Swinside for a wedding:

"My family have just returned from staying at the Swinside Lodge where my son and daughter-in-law celebrated the most spectacular wedding reception following their church wedding in Keswick. We 'took over' the whole hotel from Friday until Sunday and we couldn't have dreamed of better! Rooms were extremely comfortable, bright and tastefully decorated, one of the present owners having previously been an interior designer. The magnificent buffet on the Friday evening for the wedding guests was preceded by champagne and canapés which were delicious. The buffet was amazing! The fresh prawns and lobster were presented in a coloured ice bowl, the sea trout and fresh salmon were cooked to perfection, and the various dishes on offer were incredible! The wedding meal the next day was unbelievable. Guests were heard to comment to each other that it was the best wedding food they had ever experienced. Presentation showed amazing attention to detail, even down to the direction the plates were facing-yet it was all done subtlety and without fuss. The chef is certainly a wonderful asset to this hotel. The choice of drinks available had been discussed before our visit and the wine provided as house wine was very pleasant and no dearer than other eminent hotels. The hosts, Kath and Mike and Laurent the assistant, could not have been more attentive or helpful, even to decorating the wedding car with ribbons, the hotel with balloons, making the button holes, and helping to choose appropriate music. Kath took photographs of the bride and groom and before dinner presented copies to the newly-weds - one beautifully framed! The whole experience was wonderful and showed care and thought beyond all expectations and was exactly what the bride and groom could have only wished for! We will all certainly return to celebrate those special occasions when only the very best is good enough."  July 2010.
